Health and Safety

 We constantly monitor, review and improve our procedures to reduce any possible hazards that might arise in the workplace. It is imperative that we adopt safe working practices at all times and this is not only enforced by our regular spot checks but through our ongoing Health and Safety awareness programme and site specific training.

Prior to the commencement of any work, we ensure a full and thorough site specific Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) is completed, which is submitted to the client. This is completed by our team of fully qualified Health and Safety personnel. All of our employees are highly experienced and understand the importance of Health and Safety. They regularly undergo rigorous training programmes and frequently attend safety reviews and “tool box talks”.

We are very proud to have achieved and hold the following Accreditations:

We have a tailor made insurance package to meet all our needs and we continually review this.  All staff, equipment and vehicles are covered and every year our insurance is assessed in order to obtain our CHAS status. We recently acquired Avetta Accreditation, a statutory requirement for working on some of our shopping centre contracts. A copy of our insurance certificate is provided with every free, no obligation quotation.

Quality Assurance

Quality assurance is a high priority for Walkers as we recognise the importance of implementing and maintaining the highest standards of cleaning. Our services are driven by a robust Quality Management System that controls all operations carried out across the business. We have a contract compliance audit programme which ensures that all contracts are being delivered correctly, in line with the agreed specifications. Random quality control checks are carried out on all staff and sites to ensure that all aspects of our clients’ requirements are being met.

It is our policy to have a satisfactory note signed off by each client on the completion of any work.  Clients are encouraged to inspect our work, giving the opportunity to discuss any concerns and note comments, which are passed to management.

We ensure all of our staff are of smart appearance and are wearing company uniform at all times, clearly displaying our logo and contact details.

Environment

We fully recognise our responsibility to minimise our impact on the environment and make a positive contribution to our local community and surroundings. We are focused on continually reducing our environmental impact and key to this is ensuring that every member of the team, regardless of their level within the organisation, understands their role.
